Working at the grassroots, raising awareness about the importance of teaching and skill development, and enrolling more and more children to succeed in life. Vision & Mission

We are working in India for over the past few years. We are established to provide Quality Education to underprivileged children. In the next 1-2 years, society projects and plans to reach and provide education to children in the Slums area. Save the Dream Foundation working as Non-Government Organisation for the poor people.

In the future the Trust sees itself providing Education in Rural and Urban areas through a range of interventions. To achieve this objective the Trust has a plan of action to start with a small Education Centre covering the maximum underprivileged Children. We as NGOs are aiming to provide food to needy people and we are trying our best to feed every poor people.

Dr. Rajesh Sawant- President and Management Trustee

Dr. Rajesh Sawant is the founder of Save the Dream. After completing his degree (BAMS, Ayurvedacharya) in Pune he went to Mumbai and established this Charitable Trust. Even after independence some areas in Mumbai was deprived of any school, electricity and roads and healthcare facilities. Dr. Rajesh along with his wife Mrs Renuka Sawant took up this as a challenge and established an NGO and built a school.

Mrs. Dhanashree Dandekar- Teacher

Mrs. Dhanashree Dandekar has been teaching at Shinning Stars for last 5 years. Dhanashree is trying to create a unique recognition to the school. She has been teaching students of 8-10th standards since 2011. She likes to teach language. She likes to build a relationship with students and implement new learning techniques. She also conducts workshops for kids between 9-14 years under the name of “ART AROUND”.

Mrs. Jessy Jacob- Vice Principle

Mr. Jessy Jacob has been a Vice Principal at Shinning Stars since the year 2000. Primary School includes students of 1st to 4th standard. She works on various learning techniques which enable the kids to learn in most efficient and interactive manner. She has devised various games along with other teachers so as to enable the kids to learn maths, English, Marathi and other languages in a fun-loving way. This helps the kids to develop interest towards learning. Along with educational work, she also handles administrative work at Save the Dream Foundation.

Miss. Vandana Sinha- Legal Advisor

Vandana Sinha is a prestigious advocate of the Supreme Court of India and a Diversity Professional and Social Worker. She is a Legal Advisor Save The Dream Foundation. An Art Graduate with a Post Graduate Degree in Criminology. A large part of her career has been as a Legal professional. Vandana Sinha Legal Advisor Save the Dream Foundation.

Mr. Karan Pande- Project Manager

Karan Pande is an ex-student of Mumbai University. Since 2005, he has been working as a Project Co-ordinator with the Department of Padmashree DR Babasaheb Ambedkar Centre. The Centre works for helping the students to understand the needs of the villagers and start occupation in the field of what interests them taking into consideration the market demand. Mr. Karan has been a Master Trainer for IBT in various states.
